i am a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on creative fiction writing. through setting and character, my work explores themes of identity, memory, loneliness, intimacy, and isolation. i am currently focusing on horror and the unsettling. previous literary mediums include screenwriting and short-form sketches.
my current practice of visual art is photography. similarly drawn to setting and character, my work is primarily comprised of architecture and slice of life. i shoot street photography and intimate candids, finding inspiration in the informal.
i have taught teenage courses at Writopia Labs summer programs and summer camps, and was a mentor in the Write 2 Recognition program, which supports low-literacy students.
my strongest training was a thrice-weekly writing seminar with NYT bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater in autumn 2022. this personalized and one-on-one education will continue in autumn 2024. i have trained under fiction writer María Alejandra Barrios and under novelist Scott Alexander Hess, and completed three- and six-month programs with Wesleyan University and Gotham Writers.
